Arrival of Hydrogen Vessel ' Antonie'
On the 24th of February 2023, the hull of hydrogen vessel 'Antonie' arrived in Rotterdam on heavy lift vessel 'Sun Rise'.
The vessel, named ‘Antonie’, will be 135 metres long, feature a cargo capacity of 3,700 tons and boast a revolutionary fuel cell propulsion.
She will be used to transport salt between Delfzijl in the north of the Netherlands to Botlek in the Port of Rotterdam for Nouryon – a leading global chemical supplier.
Concordia Damen CEO Chris Kornet said of the project: “Greening the inland shipping sector is something which we feel passionate about and we will continue to work towards this goal."
